Aspect rolls out £100m UK Excess of Loss Facility

We’re delighted to announce we’re partnering with Tritech on the delivery of a brand new excess of loss facility aimed at hard-to-place UK property risks.

Bringing together capacity from Hadron and other fronting insurers, all supported by A-rated reinsurance, this new facility will benefit brokers placing business in a range of hard-to-place sectors including, but not limited to:

● Waste and recycling
● Food and beverage
● High-hazard warehousing
● High-hazard manufacturing
● Distressed accommodation
● Biomass/Biogas/Renewables/Conventional Power

This new facility will provide seamless excess of loss coverage above our existing delegated capacity from Brit, Ascot, AmTrust and Carbon – allowing brokers to offer back-to-back coverage to clients across the whole tower.

A proportion of the capacity is fully delegated to Aspect, with the balance being available on referral.

Examples of fully delegated lines:

● Waste and recycling – up to £13.5m
● Biogas/Biomass – up to £14.5m
● Carpet manufacturing – up to £25m
● Asylum seekers – up to £25m
● High rise residential cladding – up to £29m
● Schools – up to £30m
● Prisons – up to £35m

More capacity is then available following a referral to reinsurers with maximum lines being around £100m, subject to underwriting.

We’re starting this facility in the UK and expect to roll it out across the EU later in 2026.

We think this facility demonstrates the very best of the MGA model, bringing together capacity from across the industry in a way that is easy for brokers to access and simple for clients to understand.

This is how the insurance industry will continue to evolve, not by retreating from complexity, but by finding the solutions through thoughtful structure and innovation.
